Job summary

Pulhams Coaches Limited, based in Bourton-on-the-Water, is recruiting an Allocations Supervisor to join our depot operations team. You will allocate work and vehicles to drivers, manage holidays and sickness cover, and prepare and send work tickets to support efficient service delivery.

This role requires attention to detail, cost-aware decision making, and the ability to adapt to busy periods, including occasional weekend on-call duties.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• PCV licence.
• A highly organised individual with a proactive and positive attitude to work.
• A willingness to learn and work flexibly to the needs of the business.
• Enthusiastic, conscientious and hardworking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate driving duties in compliance with Domestic, Assimilated and Mixed driving regulations.
• Maximise duty coverage and efficient use of drivers and vehicles.
• Plan and manage driver rotas, holidays and flexible working arrangements.
• Provide daily operational support to the Operations Manager and Senior Allocations Supervisor.
• Coordinate vehicle allocation swaps between Bourton depot and outstations.
• Maintain accurate records of duties, rosters and logs and monitor compliance.
• Use tracking systems to keep clients informed of delays or disruptions.
• Provide on-call and out-of-hours support on a rota basis.
