Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an Airport Planner to join our aviation team in the UK. You will contribute to airport masterplanning, capacity and demand analysis, and simulation modelling, working with an international team of airport planners and engineers.

The role offers a hybrid working model with opportunities to collaborate across London, Reading, and UK-based offices, while supporting sustainability and innovative airport solutions.

Qualifications

• A degree in aeronautical engineering, civil engineering, air transport management, or airport planning.
• Fluency in English and good communication skills are essential.
• Relevant aviation industry experience, preferably working toward a chartership or equivalent.
• Some aviation experience in technical fields within airport planning is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver airport masterplans, facility planning, capacity and demand analysis, and simulation modelling.
• Cover airfield, apron, terminals, landside, and utility planning tasks.
• Learn project management responsibilities on small projects or as a workstream lead.
• Collaborate with aviation team disciplines and external stakeholders.
• Assist in proposals and bids under guidance of senior staff.
• Train and mentor new graduates on tasks and workstreams.
• Loster collaborate with airfield engineering, forecasting, and business planning teams.
