Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Technical Director specializing in Airport Capacity Analysis. Based in London with global projects, you will lead capacity work for major airports, direct modelling efforts, and mentor a diverse team of planners and analysts.

You will travel to domestic and international clients, drive business development, and ensure high-quality, commercially sound project deliverables across the aviation sector.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in airport capacity, including work on large scale airport development programmes.
• Ability to direct and train junior staff in analysing and optimising capacity.
• Familiar with simulation modelling tools to deliver capacity and demand outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead capacity work on major airport development programmes for significant owners and operators.
• Provide technical leadership in capacity and simulation modelling across projects.
• Train junior team members and develop airport capacity capabilities.
• Engage with clients, plan opportunities, and prepare high-quality proposals.
• Ensure projects deliver on time, on budget, with sound governance and benefits realization.
