Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is hiring for an Assistant Site Manager to support our Birmingham Airport contract.

This full‑time role involves leading Supervisors and teams across warehouse and security screening operations, ensuring safe, compliant and high‑quality service delivery in a fast‑paced airport environment. You will manage shift patterns from 02:00–10:00 or 04:00–12:00, including weekends and holidays as required, 5 from 7.

Qualifications

• Experience in a people management or supervisory role within an airport environment or similar fast-paced operation.
• Strong track record of leading operational teams to deliver high service levels.
• Proven ability to manage KPIs and drive continuous improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Supervisors and operational teams.
• Oversee daily warehouse, cargo handling and security screening operations.
• Monitor and drive operational performance through KPI management and improvements.
• Build relationships with customers, airport stakeholders and partners; resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with aviation security, Health & Safety and regulatory standards.
