Job summary

Sodexo Live! is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the culinary team in the United Kingdom. You will help present food and beverages, monitor quality and quantities, and ensure stock is replenished according to set standards.

The role requires initiative, strong attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team. It follows a 4‑day pattern (2 mornings, 2 afternoons) with additional employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Kitchen Assistant experience is a must.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to work on own initiative within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with presentation of all food and beverage and ensure quality and quantity are maintained.
• Follow food ratio guidelines where introduced.
• Maintain and replenish buffet and stock levels for a la carte service and monitor hygiene standards per HACCP.
• Ensure products are date coded, rotated and labelled using shelf life rules.
• Prepare adequately for the following shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with the presentation of all food and beverage, ensuring quality, quantity are consistently monitored, maintained and display is as per set specification.
• Where possible if introduced follow food ratio guidelines set out by emirates are followed.
• Ensure buffet and stock levels of all food and beverage items for a la carte service are properly maintained and replenished regularly as required and in accordance with food and safety standards. Control and monitor hygiene standards as per HACCAP.
• Ensure that all products stored or displayed are date coded, stock rotated and labelled correctly using the shelf life rule.
• Ensure that sufficient preparation is completed for the following shift.
• Kitchen Assistant experience is a must.
• Highly motivated.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to work on own initiative within a team environment.

Desirable

• Lounge experience.
• Airport experience.
