Job summary

Sodexo Live! at London Stansted Airport Emirates Lounge is hiring a Kitchen Assistant. You will support chefs in presenting food and beverages to specification, maintain stock and hygiene, and prep ahead for the next shift. Ideal candidates are motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work well in a team.

The role offers £13.90 per hour, with a 4‑day pattern (2 mornings, 2 afternoons) and a range of employee benefits. Airport lounge experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Kitchen Assistant experience is required.
• Must be highly motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative within a team.
• Desire to deliver great guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with presentation of all food and beverages to spec.
• Follow Emirates food ratio guidelines where applicable.
• Maintain and replenish buffet/stock levels for a la carte service; ensure hygiene standards per HACCP.
• Ensure products are date coded, stock rotated, and labelled with shelf life rules.
• Prepare sufficiently for the following shift.

What you'll do

• Assist the chef with the presentation of all food and beverage, ensuring quality, quantity are consistently monitored, maintained and display is as per set specification.
• Where possible if introduced follow food ratio guidelines set out by emirates are followed.
• Ensure buffet and stock levels of all food and beverage items for a la carte service are properly maintained and replenished regularly as required and in accordance with food and safety standards. Control and monitor hygiene standards as per HACCAP.
• Ensure that all products stored or displayed are date coded, stock rotated and labelled correctly using the shelf life rule.
• Ensure that sufficient preparation is completed for the following shift.
