Job description

Aircraft Maintenance Technician - Mechanical

Randstad Engineering is recruiting Aircraft Maintenance Technicians for a permanent position at RAF Syerston in Newark on Trent (NG23 5NN).

This role offers a salary of GBP 32,527 per annum, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (day shift).

The Role

We seek an individual capable of leading and supervising engineering personnel, conducting maintenance on Viking and other contract-related aircraft at RAF Syerston and other locations across the UK.

Responsibilities

1. Fulfill the responsibilities and duties of Support Staff with Supervisory Responsibilities in accordance with Serco GMS policies and military regulations.
2. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Viking and other aircraft at RAF Syerston and various UK locations.
3. Manage, supervise, and participate in aircraft activities, including ground movement and transportation preparation.
4. Lead and control maintenance teams to optimize output and ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate Will

1. Have experience in a similar engineering role with MOD Phase 2 technical training or equivalent civilian training.
2. Demonstrate potential or proven ability to hold supervisory support staff responsibilities.
3. Possess strong fault diagnosis skills and a thorough understanding of aircraft systems.
4. Hold a full driving license.
