Job summary

Serco Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician to support laminated and composite material work at RAF Brize Norton. The role covers carbon fibre and fibreglass layups, vacuum bagging, curing, and quality control on structural repairs.

You will interpret drawings, operate workshop tools, and maintain accurate records while collaborating across departments to ensure safety and efficiency on the hangar floor. Training and progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have current knowledge and experience of laminating, trimming and assembling composite materials.
• Recognised BTEC or NVQ or equivalent or advanced composite repairs course.
• Previous Armed Forces or industry experience in composite manufacture, maintenance, or repair.

Responsibilities

• Work with laminating, trimming and assembling composite materials including carbon fibre and fibreglass.
• Operate workshop machines and hand tools.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings and manuals.
• Maintain and document maintenance records.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
• Ensure all repairs are correctly certified and records are complete.
