Job summary

Mane is seeking a Production Engineer to support composite manufacturing processes for aerospace components in the United Kingdom. You will create work instructions, support repairs and rework, and troubleshoot production issues alongside Production, Engineering and Quality teams.

The role involves developing BOMs and routings, contributing to continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma, and training technicians on safe, efficient composite methods on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Engineering or related field.
• 2-4 years' experience in composite manufacturing engineering.
• Experience in aerospace or similar manufacturing environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions for composite processes (layup, vacuum bagging, curing, bonding, trimming, inspection and assembly).
• Create rework and repair instructions for composite components.
• Investigate production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Support continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methods.
• Support quality improvements and corrective actions.
• Create and review BOMs and production routings using SAP/ERP.
• Train production technicians on composite manufacturing methods and safety.
