Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is hiring Plumbing and Heating Engineers to install Air Source Heat Pumps across the Cumbria/Carlisle area. You’ll join a field-based team, receive training at our £10m training centre, and be supported to deliver low carbon solutions in customers’ homes.

You’ll work with experienced engineers, review technical specs, and lead a crew on site. We offer a £38k base salary, £2,500 bonus, and an OT‑based on target earnings, plus a company vehicle and benefits.

Qualifications

• For this role, you need a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating with a full clean driving licence.
• Experience installing boilers; knowledge of air source heat pumps is a plus.
• Knowledge of heating system design and fault finding; domestic hot & cold water knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install Air Source Heat Pumps and low carbon tech in customers’ homes.
• Collaborate on technical specs and drawings.
• Commission heat pumps with an electrician.
• Lead a crew and empower team decisions on site.
• Provide low carbon advice to customers.
• Learn about new technologies at training centre.
