Right Now Group is seeking an experienced AOG Operator in Feltham near Heathrow to coordinate AOG, Air Import, and Air Export shipments. You will handle time-critical movements, ensure HMRC-compliant documentation, and service urgent customer requirements from collection through to delivery.

The role demands prior AOG/time-critical logistics experience, aircraft parts handling, and strong communication with suppliers and transport providers.

Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an experienced AOG Operator on behalf of a local freight forwarding business based in Feltham, near Heathrow .

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated express freight team, taking responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of AOG (Aircraft on Ground), Air Import, Air Export and time-critical shipments . The successful candidate will have previous experience handling aircraft parts and will be responsible for ensuring shipments are processed efficiently, documentation is completed accurately in line with HMRC regulations, and urgent customer requirements are managed from collection through to final delivery.

Working within a fast-paced operational environment, you will liaise with customers, approved suppliers, handling agents, transport providers and internal teams to deliver exceptional service while maintaining compliance, controlling costs, and responding proactively to time-critical operational demands. This role is ideal for someone with previous AOG and air freight experience who thrives under pressure and enjoys problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities of an AOG Operator

• Key Responsibilities of an AOG Operator Manage AOG, Air Import, Air Export and time-critical shipments from start to finish.
• Manage the export and import of aircraft parts , ensuring shipments are handled accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor and action multiple shared email inboxes, responding promptly to customer and operational enquiries.
• Arrange collections and deliveries with approved transport providers and suppliers.
• Produce shipping documentation, including MAWBs and HAWBs .
• Prepare export and import customs entries in accordance with UK HMRC regulations .
• Process T1 documents accurately and within required timescales.
• Monitor live AOG updates and respond quickly to changing operational requirements.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships while managing a large AOG account.
• Liaise with approved suppliers, airlines, handling agents and transport providers to ensure smooth shipment movements.
• Adapt to changing customer requirements and identify suitable transport solutions where necessary.
• Assist with costings, quotations and invoice preparation .
• Investigate and resolve customer, supplier and internal operational queries promptly and professionally.
• Provide support across import operations when required.
• Maintain accurate operational records and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Skills & Experience Required for an AOG Operator

• Previous experience within Air Freight Operations , ideally specialising in AOG or time-critical logistics.
• Proven experience managing Air Import and Air Export shipments from start to finish .
• Previous experience handling and exporting aircraft parts .
• Strong knowledge of AOG operations and time-critical logistics.
• Experience using Boxtop and ASM .
• Good understanding of UK HMRC customs regulations and procedures.
• Experience processing T1 documents .
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities with a strong customer-focused approach.
• Full 5-year referenceable employment history .
• DBS check required .
