Job summary

Right Now Group is partnering with an internationally established freight forwarder to recruit an Airfreight Business Development Manager. You will own new business development, build a customer portfolio, and contribute to the company’s expansion in air freight.

The role offers a competitive salary (£50,000–£85,000) with excellent commission potential and company benefits. Monday to Friday pattern and an opportunity to influence growth at an established international business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Business Development/Commercial role within freight forwarding, specifically airfreight.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Commercially minded with track record of securing new customers and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business development activity, targeting prospective air freight customers across the UK.
• Identify and pursue commercial opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
• Create and deliver sales plans to support expansion of the air freight division.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with clients and key decision-makers.
• Proactively generate new leads through networking, referrals and direct sales.
• Arrange customer visits, sales presentations and commercial meetings.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate rates and secure profitable business.
• Collaborate with internal operations to meet customer requirements.
• Take ownership of sales performance and exceed targets.
• Keep up to date with industry developments and competitor activity.
