Job summary

ALPI UK, part of Albini & Pitigliani Group, is seeking an Air Freight Coordinator to join a busy international logistics environment in Colnbrook. You will coordinate bookings, documentation, customs and communications across origin to destination.

The role requires proven operational experience in air freight or multimodal logistics, with a focus on accuracy, compliance and customer service. Monday–Friday, office-based, 8.30am–5.30pm, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Operational experience in air freight or related logistics.
• Experience in import/export multimodal operations.
• Knowledge of air freight products.
• Understanding of INCOTERMS and risks.
• Experience with export documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bookings with network partners and clients from origin to destination.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations and customs declarations.
• Obtain quotes and support rate negotiations.
• Build airline relationships and arrange cargo bookings.
• Prepare Airway Bill pre-alerts and export documents.
• Operate the internal system following SOPs.
• Apply UK Trade Tariff knowledge and manage deferment.
• Process invoices and handle insurance correctly.
• Complete reports and communicate with network and sales teams.
• Suggest workflow improvements.
• Provide team support.
