Job summary

Red Recruit is seeking an experienced Air Freight Coordinator for our Heathrow area team. The role involves coordinating with network partners, UK clients, and internal teams to arrange bookings from origin to destination while ensuring compliance with trade regulations and timely communication.

You will manage documentation, quotations, and relationships with airlines, while contributing to process improvements and maintaining SOPs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience within Freight Forwarding preferred.
• Knowledge of Import and/or Export multimodal operations.
• Basic understanding of INCOTERMS and associated risks.
• Knowledge of Air Freight sales and related products.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Solid understanding of logistics processes and procedures.
• Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air freight activities with network partners, UK clients and internal teams.
• Arrange bookings for shipments from origin to destination and maintain clear communications.
• Ensure shipments comply with international trade regulations and HMRC requirements.
• Prepare airway bill pre-alerts and ensure timely, accurate documentation.
• Monitor shipments and provide updates to partners until delivery.
• Collaborate to improve customer workflows and meet deadlines.
• Apply discounts and rate negotiations with airlines as required.
• Maintain SOPs and ensure proper invoice processing within 48 hours.
