Job summary

Right Now Group is recruiting an experienced Air Export Supervisor for a growing international Freight Forwarder near Heathrow. You will run the day-to-day Air Export operation and supervise a small team, ensuring bookings, documentation and airline relationships run smoothly.

The role offers £40,000-£50,000 per annum, with a Monday to Friday schedule 09:30-18:00. This hands-on supervisory position provides genuine responsibility and the chance to develop within a global logistics business.

Qualifications

• Strong experience within Air Export operations in a freight forwarding environment.
• Knowledge of managing Air Export shipments from start to finish.
• Experience completing or overseeing customs entries using CDS.
• Strong knowledge of airline bookings, MAWBs, HAWBs, freight capacity and export documentation.
• Experience within eCommerce, courier or time-critical freight beneficial but not essential.
• Previous experience as a Supervisor/Team Leader or Senior Export Operator advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day running of the Air Export department whilst remaining hands-on with operational shipments.
• Manage international Air Export shipments from booking through to final departure.
• Support, guide and develop members of the Air Export team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines and suppliers.
• Secure freight capacity, manage airline allocations and coordinate PB bookings.
• Complete and audit export documentation, customs entries, MAWBs, HAWBs and pre-alerts.
• Ensure shipments meet airline, customs and operational requirements.
• Work closely with warehouse, transport, customer service and overseas partners.
• Monitor time-critical shipments and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, compliance and operational performance.

Right Now Group are recruiting for an experienced Air Export Supervisor on behalf of a growing international Freight Forwarder based near Heathrow.

Working within a close-knit export team, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Air Export operation whilst remaining hands-on operationally. The business handles a mixture of international air freight, including eCommerce, courier and time-critical shipments, so previous eCommerce experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

The key requirement is a strong understanding of Air Export operations, combined with the confidence to support a team, manage airline relationships and ensure shipments move efficiently from booking through to departure.

• Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Export Operator would be advantageous.
• Alternatively, an experienced Air Export Operator ready to progress into their first supervisory position would be considered.
• Confident communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Location: Heathrow.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 18:00.
