Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting an Air Conditioning Installation Engineer based in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role covers installation, service and maintenance of commercial and industrial AC systems, with national travel.

You will read drawings, install a variety of systems, work away from home, and join a growing HVAC contractor offering training, progression and a pension.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or City & Guilds equivalent.
• F-Gas certification (Category 1) required.
• Proven experience installing air conditioning systems in commercial/industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring and controls related to AC installations.

Responsibilities

• Install a variety of air conditioning systems (split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, ducted) in commercial/industrial settings.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications.
• Complete installations to high standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety protocols.
• Carry out site surveys and provide design recommendations.
• Liaise with clients to ensure smooth project delivery and professional communication.
• Manage materials, tools and equipment for each job.

CBW Staffing Solutions are working with a leading specialist in the HVAC industry, providing high-quality air conditioning installation, service, and maintenance solutions to commercial and industrial clients. As their business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join their team.

This is a permanent position, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear - the successful candidate must be willing to work away from home and travel on a national basis.

Package:

• Competitive salary between £39,000 - £43,000 per annum (depending on experience)

• Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Installing a variety of air conditioning systems (split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, ducted, etc.) in commercial and industrial environments

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or City & Guilds equivalent
• F-Gas certification (Category 1)
• A full UK driving licence
• Proven experience in installing a range of air conditioning systems in both commercial and industrial settings
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring and controls related to air conditioning installations
