Prize Placements seeks an experienced Senior Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to oversee projects across Surrey/Sussex. The role covers installation, maintenance, fault finding and reactive works on commercial sites, with a focus on quality and customer service.

The candidate will manage workload, travel to various sites and ensure compliance with current standards. A company van is provided, along with travel expenses and other benefits.

Responsibilities

• Project Manage, Plan, install and deliver projects.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Attend reactive call-outs and breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
• Service, maintain and repair AC and refrigeration systems.
• Identify additional remedial works and report back to office.
• Complete electronic job sheets and service documentation promptly.
• Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with legislation and standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment and vehicle to a good standard.
• Manage parts and materials for allocated jobs.
• Be prepared to travel to different customer sites as required.

Senior Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Engineer / Team Lead Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Engineer - Surrey / Sussex Region - £50,000 - £60,000 + Company Van + Bonus

Prize Placements are looking for an experienced and reliable Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our key client based in Sussex / Surrey region.

This is a mobile role, where you will manage projexcts, involved in the planning projects, managing the installation and delivering etc, along with carrying out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding and reactive breakdown works across a wide range of commercial client sites, including bakeries, gyms, retail premises and other commercial environments.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing their own workload and representing the company professionally while on customer sites.

A company van will be provided.

Key Responsibilities as a Senior Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer:

• Project Manage, Plan, install and deliver projects.


• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.


• Attend reactive call-outs and breakdowns.


• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.


• Service, maintain and repair a variety of AC and refrigeration systems.


• Identify additional remedial works and report recommendations back to the office.


• Complete electronic job sheets and service documentation accurately and promptly following each visit.


• Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with current legislation and industry standards.


• Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle to a good standard.


• Manage parts and materials required for allocated jobs.


• Be prepared to travel to different customer sites as required.

Qualifications & Experience as a Senior Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer:

The ideal candidate will have:

• F-Gas Category 1 qualification - essential.


• Previous experience working as an Air Conditioning and/or Refrigeration Engineer.


• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.


• Experience carrying out both planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns.


• Full UK driving licence.


• Ability to work independently
