Job summary

Resourcing Group is seeking an experienced Qualified Air Conditioning Engineer to service commercial sites within approximately 20 miles of Basingstoke. This permanent role offers a strong package and potential on-call earnings.

You will primarily carry out planned and reactive maintenance on VRV/VRF systems, ensuring safe, high-quality workmanship and excellent customer communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' field experience working independently on commercial air conditioning equipment.
• Strong experience with VRV/VRF systems.
• Hold current F-Gas Certification.
• Hold a Level 2 NVQ Diploma (City & Guilds 6187) or equivalent.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Perform reactive maintenance and fault finding on commercial air conditioning systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on VRV/VRF systems.
• Respond to out-of-hours breakdowns as part of an on-call rota (1 in 6).
• Maintain excellent customer relationships and communication.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Air Conditioning Engineer to join an established and growing business, covering commercial sites across Basingstoke and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a long-term, permanent position with a strong package and additional earning potential through the on-call rota.

Air Conditioning Engineer Role Description

You will be field-based, working predominantly within a 20-mile radius of Basingstoke, carrying out a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance across commercial air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities will include:

• Planned preventative maintenance and servicing
• Reactive maintenance and fault finding
• Working on commercial air conditioning systems
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
• Working on complex VRV/VRF systems
• Responding to out-of-hours breakdowns as part of a 1-in-6 on-call rota
• Maintaining excellent customer relationships and communication
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

The Package

• Up to £47,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Full-time, permanent employment
• Minimum 40-hour working week
• 1 week in 6 on-call rota
• Out-of-hours breakdowns paid at a minimum of 4 hours
• Overtime , 2x or 2.5x, depending on the circumstances
• Door-to-door travel paid for out-of-hours call-outs
• Predominantly local work within approximately 20 miles of Basingstoke
• Long-term opportunity with an established employer

About You

• Live locally to Basingstoke
• Have a minimum of 2 years' field experience working independently on commercial air conditioning equipment
• Have strong experience with VRV/VRF systems
• Hold current F-Gas Certification
• Hold a minimum Level 2 NVQ Diploma (City & Guilds 6187) or equivalent
• Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
• Have strong commercial awareness
• Have a robust work ethic and excellent communication skills
• PASMA and IPAF certification is preferred, although not essential
