Job summary

SER Limited is seeking an Air Conditioning Engineer to perform reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on industrial and commercial air conditioning systems in the Northwest, with travel to Cumbria. The role includes on-site work in Preston with a 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM schedule and a lunch break, plus overtime opportunities and company benefits.

Candidates should hold a Full UK Driving Licence (max 6 points) and a valid FGAS Gas Certificate.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Valid FGAS Gas Cert.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairing and maintenance of air conditioning systems.
• Complete installation, operation, maintenance and repairs of plant and equipment.
• Adhere to company specifications, legislation and industry standards.
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency service as required and perform related trades as needed.
• Complete required paperwork accurately.

Position - Air Conditioning Engineer

Location / Working Hours

Preston, 7:30AM - 4pm, half hour for lunch (with flexibility)

Salary/Package

£36,000 - £40,000 (DOE), Working Pension, Death in Service X4, 24 days holiday excluding Banks, Van/Fuel card, PPE/Tools, Call Out with additional pay - (1 in 6), Overtime Paid - Double Time all the time!!

My client specialises in all types of Health Sector projects, ranging from full ward refurbishments, change of use, general facilities and building maintenance.

Purpose Of the Role

To carry out reactive maintenance and PPM work on industrial and commercial air conditioning systems.

This role WILL require travel throughout the Northwest and up to Cumbria. VERY rarely travel may take you to Solihull & North Wales.

Key Duties

• Undertake the servicing, repairing and maintenance of Air conditioning systems.
• Carry out installation, operation, maintenance and repairs of plant and equipment
• Complete works in accordance with The Companies specifications and in compliance with the relevant legislation, relevant trade body and industry standards and best practice.
• Participate in an emergency ‘out of hours’ service as required, including carrying out other multi skilled trades work where necessary.
• Provide professional assessments and advice for customers
• Work to operational and Health and Safety procedures, safe working practices and approved codes of practice as appropriate.
• Be responsible for completing dynamic risk assessments when arriving at site, checking that the safety of themselves and/or others will not be compromised by completing the task.
• To comprehensively complete required paperwork or electronic equivalent as appropriate

Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
