Job summary

Smart Search Technical Ltd is seeking an experienced commercial HVAC technician to service, fault-find and repair HVAC systems across commercial and retail sites between Edinburgh and Glasgow. The role is full-time and remote-based, with work covering multiple sites and on-call requirements.

Applicants should have at least 5 years of commercial air conditioning experience, a valid UK driving licence and ideally an HVAC/Refrigeration qualification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' commercial air conditioning experience.
• Strong servicing, repair and fault-finding skills.
• F-Gas Category 1 is essential.
• Retail/commercial multi-site experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• PPM, servicing and repairs of commercial air conditioning and HVAC systems.
• Fault finding and remedial works.
• Work on VRF/VRV, splits, multi-splits, fan coils, chillers, ventilation and controls.
• Complete electronic service reports and F-Gas documentation.
• Liaise with customers and site contacts.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety.
• Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota where required.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Dependent on experience

This is a remote-based role covering commercial and retail sites between Edinburgh and Glasgow, carrying out planned maintenance, reactive call-outs, fault finding and remedial works.

Key Responsibilities

• PPM, servicing and repairs of commercial air conditioning and HVAC systems
• Fault finding and remedial works
• Work on VRF/VRV, splits, multi-splits, fan coils, chillers, ventilation and controls
• Complete electronic service reports and F-Gas documentation
• Liaise with customers and site contacts
• Maintain high standards of health & safety
• Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota where required

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' commercial air conditioning experience
• Strong servicing, repair and fault-finding experience
• F-Gas Category 1 essential
• Relevant HVAC/Refrigeration qualification preferred
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working independently
• Retail/commercial multi-site experience desirable
• IPAF, PASMA, CSCS and Asbestos Awareness desirable
