About the opportunity:

• Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
• This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote with flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever best suits you.
• Read English texts to rank responses produced by AI models.
• Write and rewrite prompts and responses, involving research and fact-checking as needed.
• Assess the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text.

Examples of desirable expertise:

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at an accredited institution.
• Strong writing style, excellent English spelling and grammar, along with good logic and reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of texts.

Payment:

• US: $15 to $35 USD per hour
• UK: up to £11 to £27 GBP per hour
• Canada: up to $20 to $48 CAD per hour
• Australia: up to $22 to $53 AUD per hour
• New Zealand: up to $25 to $58 NZD per hour
• Rates vary based on expertise, skills, location, and project needs. Higher rates may be offered for PhDs. Lower rates may apply during onboarding or overtime phases. Some projects include incentives. Review each project's payment terms.
