About The Opportunity

• Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
• This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote, with flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever best suits you.

You may contribute your expertise by…

• Reading English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, involving research and fact-checking.
• Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text.

Examples Of Desirable Expertise

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a selective institution.
• Strong writing style with exceptional English spelling, grammar, logic, and reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of texts.

Payment

• Core project work pays an average of USD $35 per hour for English writing experts in the US.
• Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project need, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. Lower rates may apply for initial onboarding or overtime phases. Incentive payments may also be available. Please review the payment terms for each project.
