Job summary

Ocho People in Belfast is seeking a UX Designer to shape AI-powered experiences from concept to execution. This role sits in the AI Services team within Digital Services and is hybrid with 2 days in the office.

You will collaborate closely with engineers, conduct usability testing and concept validation, and communicate design decisions to senior stakeholders as you translate user needs into tangible, scalable outcomes.

Qualifications

Significant experience as a UX, Product or Experience Designer across web and mobile.
Strong portfolio showing AI-native experiences and your contribution.
Experience designing, validating and optimising solutions through research, usability testing and analytics.
Comfortable discussing technical concepts, architecture and trade-offs with engineers.
Right to work in Northern Ireland (no sponsorship available).

Responsibilities

Produce user-centred AI-powered experiences, prototypes, journeys and interaction flows from concept through to execution.
Design, build and test proof-of-concepts exploring new technologies and AI capabilities.
Work closely with engineers to understand technical constraints and architectural trade-offs.
Conduct customer interviews, usability testing and concept testing to validate real user problems.
Create high-fidelity prototypes that help stakeholders make decisions quickly.
Present concepts, prototypes and learnings confidently to senior stakeholders and leadership.
Create design artefacts that support successful handover into delivery teams.
Facilitate design-led workshops with product, engineering and business stakeholders.
