Grant Thornton UK is seeking a Technical Manager for AI consultancy to lead the development and delivery of AI-powered solutions for clients. You will build proofs of concept, code with AI tools and collaborate with client teams to shape viable, secure deployments.

You’ll work with Claude Code, Claude and other AI tools, coordinate with partner and delivery teams, and help scale from PoC to live services while maintaining responsible AI and FinOps practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building technology or AI solutions in client-facing settings.
• Hands-on coding in Python and rapid prototyping.
• Regular use of Claude Code for coding and testing.
• Understanding of large language models and practical integration.
• Experience with at least one cloud provider (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Responsabilités

• Building and running proofs of concept.
• Build working proofs of concept quickly, writing code yourself and using AI coding tools such as Claude Code.
• Agree with clients what a proof of concept must show and how success will be judged.
• Test results honestly, and explain clearly what worked, what did not and what it means.
• Demonstrate your work and present findings to client teams in plain English.
• Going beyond the proof of concept and planning for live deployment.
• Coordinate technical delivery teams and review partner work and codes.
• Review their code, designs and results, and give clear, constructive feedback.
• Explain technical choices simply to non-technical audiences.
• Support senior colleagues with proposals, pitches and follow-up conversations.
• Producing high-quality work with AI tools.
• Share good practice, prompts and reusable code with the wider team.
