Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy AI agent solutions inside enterprise environments.

You’ll work with a Deployment Strategist to co-create production-ready agents, data pipelines, and dashboards that deliver measurable business impact across public sector, nonprofit, and education accounts. The role emphasizes hands-on coding, end-to-end ownership, and a proactive learning approach with continuous experimentation in AI/tooling, while traveling

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with at least one production system
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience (consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering)
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering
• Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns
• Ability to engage with sales teams and customer architects and ship quality code

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organisations
• Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems
• Own technical components end-to-end: from architecture to production deployment
• Build and maintain data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms
• Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting for deployment health
• Co-build with customers and partners, sharing best practices and enablement
• Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to senior engineers and product teams
• Partner with Deployment Strategist to translate customer challenges into agentic solutions
