Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deploy enterprise-grade agentic AI inside customer environments. You will build real-time data grounding systems, define agent reasoning and tool-calling logic, and connect AI agents to ERP systems and Salesforce Data Cloud.

You will write production code and orchestrate multi-agent workflows from day one. The role requires hands-on AI grounding, API mastery, and the ability to work in an agile deployment pod with senior engineers

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience in production AI/enterprise integration environments.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Hands-on AI grounding, LLM orchestration, and building RAG pipelines.
• Experience with API design (REST/SOAP/webhooks) and MCP or similar agent protocols.
• Experience with MuleSoft or custom middleware to connect AI agents to ERP systems.
• Knowledge of data modeling and asynchronous integration patterns.
• Ability to whiteboard enterprise architecture with CTOs/VPs while coding.
• Familiarity with automation platforms and enterprise AI/agent ecosystems.
• Experience with Workday, Jira, Slack, and data/cloud platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).
• Security, governance, IAM, OAuth, and data privacy understanding.
• Willingness to travel 25-30% on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade agentic AI solutions inside customer environments.
• Architect real-time data grounding systems and manage multi-agent communication protocols.
• Implement agent reasoning, tool calling logic, and conditional execution loops.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integration pipelines to Salesforce Data Cloud and ERP systems.
• Create real-time dashboards tracking agent performance and business outcomes.
