Job summary

Tech Buildr is seeking a seasoned Pre-Sales Consultant to guide AI and solutions architecture for clients across the UK. You will translate business needs into scalable, commercially viable AI-enabled architectures and lead technical discussions with senior stakeholders.

You’ll collaborate with sales, engineering and delivery teams to craft compelling proposals and ensure technical feasibility from discovery to handover, all while staying ahead of AI and cloud developments.

Qualifications

• We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical understanding with excellent commercial and communication skills.
• Proven experience (4 years+) in a pre‑sales, solutions consulting, solutions architecture or technical consulting role.
• Experience working directly with customers to understand requirements and shape technology solutions.
• Strong knowledge of modern software architecture, cloud platforms and enterprise technology.
• Experience designing or advising on AI/ML, generative AI or AI‑enabled solutions.
• The ability to understand complex customer problems and turn them into clear architectural and commercial propositions.
• Excellent presentation, workshop facilitation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Confidence engaging with senior technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience contributing to or leading technical proposals and bids.
• A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and how solutions move from concept through to production.
• The ability to balance technical ambition with considerations around cost, security, scalability, governance and delivery risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions with customers and prospective customers, understanding their business challenges, technology landscape and strategic objectives.
• Design and articulate AI-led solutions and architectures, covering areas such as generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, AI agents and AI-enabled applications.
• Translate complex business requirements into practical, scalable and commercially compelling technology solutions.
• Develop solution architectures, technical proposals, statements of work and supporting pre‑sales collateral.
• Lead customer presentations, workshops, demonstrations and technical discussions, including conversations with senior technology and business stakeholders.
• Explain complex AI and technology concepts in a clear, commercially relevant way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work with engineering and delivery teams to validate that proposed solutions are technically feasible, scalable and deliverable.
• Support the sales team throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from initial qualification through to proposal, negotiation and handover.
• Identify opportunities to introduce AI and emerging technologies where they can create tangible business value.
• Stay current with developments across AI, cloud, data, software engineering and enterprise architecture, helping customers understand the practical implications of emerging technologies.
• Contribute to the development of reusable solution patterns, propositions and intellectual property.
