Job summary

BARCLAYS is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to lead the design, development, and evolution of a global AI/ML platform. You will build and operate cloud-native AI infrastructure using Python and AWS, ensuring secure, scalable and cost-efficient workloads across multiple business units.

You will drive governance and collaborate with risk, technology, and product stakeholders to align platform capabilities with enterprise priorities. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Proven Python engineering expertise and cloud-native platform development.
Experience with AWS services and distributed systems architecture.
Strong knowledge of security, compliance and risk management in enterprise environments.
Ability to lead technical teams and communicate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead design and evolution of a global AI/ML platform for high-scale, secure workloads.
Deliver hands-on engineering using Python and cloud-native tech for AI infrastructure.
Own end-to-end platform delivery including production support, monitoring and incident management.
Drive reliability, performance, cost optimization and automation across platforms.
Establish governance, security and compliance frameworks for AI/data platforms.
