Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Python Platform Engineer in London to design, develop and improve analytics-powered software for quants, data scientists, and engineers. You will work with Jupyter, VSCode, Dask/Spark, and deploy scalable code across the organization, partnering with users in Markets Front Office.

You will have strong Python development and infrastructure experience, plus experience leading projects, and familiarity with data analytics in Python.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Python application development and infrastructure, including environment management and packaging.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build and maintain relationships with business colleagues.
• Experience leading a project team delivering development projects.
• Understanding of working with data in Python, across data engineering and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve software for customers and colleagues using Python.
