Job summary

Rippling is seeking a Staff/Principal-level Designer to lead AI-powered design system work across the Rippling platform. You’ll shape UX patterns, set design language, and drive high-quality, scalable UI across 40+ products.

This role blends hands-on craft with cross-team influence, enabling rapid prototyping, production-ready code, and repeatable design systems. You'll partner with product managers, engineers, and other designers to deliver platform-wide projects and advance AI-enabled tooling

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product design or design systems for dense B2B platforms.
• Demonstrated AI-native mindset with daily use of LLMs and AI-assisted prototyping tools.
• Deep systems thinking for scaling UI/UX across many surfaces.
• Strong portfolio in UX, interaction, and visual design.
• High-velocity execution as an autonomous IC.
• Experience partnering with PMs, engineers, and other designers.

Responsibilities

• Define AI-first UX patterns and ensure adoption across Rippling products.
• Drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment with a shipping mindset.
• Lead platform-wide UX quality initiatives and reusable patterns.
• Set standards for design language and systems thinking within Rippling.
• Provide design feedback at scale and drive high-quality UX across Rippling.
• Leverage LLM-based tools to draft PRDs, data models, and visual specs.
