Job summary

WSP is seeking an AI Engineer to join the AI Accelerator team in Cambridge. You will help shape our global digital strategy by designing prototype AI solutions and deploying them in Azure cloud environments.

Collaborate with WSP UK and Ireland, turn prototypes into production deployments, and work within the Data & Decision Science function to deliver client-ready AI services across market sectors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing and developing AI solutions, preferably in Azure.
• Experience with Azure-based AI technologies such as Azure AI Foundry.
• Experience working with LLMs and Agentic AI on real-world problems.
• Strong understanding of ML algorithms and NLP techniques.
• Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams translating business problems to technical solutions.
• Experience deploying AI models into production.
• Excellent problem-solving and passion for AI innovation.

Responsibilities

• Join the newly established AI Accelerator team to shape digital strategy.
• Collaborate with experts across WSP UK and Ireland to design prototype AI solutions for real-world challenges.
• Transition successful prototypes into full-scale deployments that improve operations.
• Work within our wider Data & Decision Science function in Transformation and Digital Insights.
• Deliver impactful bespoke AI solutions to internal stakeholders in our Azure cloud environments.
• Work closely with consultancy teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities to leverage AI for transformation.
• Partner with clients across the market sectors we serve and turn ideas into practical solutions.
