Job summary

WSP's AI Accelerator team in the UK is seeking an AI Engineer to design and build prototype AI solutions, collaborating with experts across WSP UK and Ireland in Azure environments to turn ideas into working applications.

You will help prototypes transition into full-scale deployments, transforming how WSP operates and delivering enhanced services to clients. This role sits within the Data & Decision Science function in Transformation and Digital Insights.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing and developing AI solutions, preferably in Azure.
• Experience with Azure AI technologies such as Azure AI Foundry.
• Experience with LLMs and Agentic AI on real-world problems.
• Strong understanding of ML algorithms and NLP techniques.
• Collaborative skills to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Experience deploying AI models into production environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and innovative mindset in AI.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI solutions within Azure-based environments.
• Build prototype AI solutions and transition them into deployments.
• Collaborate with WSP UK & Ireland teams to understand business needs.
• Work with clients across market sectors to apply AI for transformation.
• Contribute to rapid ideation and hands-on delivery of AI initiatives.
