Job summary

Waystone is seeking an AI Engineer in Leeds to embed AI capabilities into the engineering, automation, and assurance ecosystems. You will design, develop, and validate AI-enabled solutions while improving automation efficiency and engineering quality. The role emphasizes responsible AI usage and cost‑aware deployment.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and help extend low‑code workflows through agents and secure MCP servers, ensuring safe, scalable AI adoption across Waystone.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of AI, ML and LLM concepts, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows.
• Experience integrating AI into both low‑code and high‑code platforms.
• Proven ability to mentor developers and testers and drive innovation across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and productionize AI features and services.
• Build AI-enabled microservices, APIs and internal tools.
• Design secure, observable AI systems and ensure governance and risk controls.
• Lead education and enablement initiatives for AI adoption across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify high‑value AI opportunities and drive delivery.
