Job summary

United Infrastructure in Warrington is seeking a hands-on Head of AI & Digital Transformation to drive measurable value by embedding data, AI, and process improvements into our Shared Services Centre, starting with Purchase-to-Pay. This is not a strategy role; you will dive into data, build solutions with operational teams, and prove benefits using real system data.

You will work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform and engage with finance and procurement to deliver

Qualifications

• Practical, day-to-day use of AI tools to improve work outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with large operational datasets.
• SQL and data interrogation capability.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience analysing ERP data, ideally Dynamics 365 BC.
• Power BI or equivalent BI tools.
• Experience influencing stakeholders and driving change without direct authority.
• Understanding of financial controls, audit requirements and governance.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data from Dynamics 365 BC and related systems.
• Establish a robust baseline for Purchase-to-Pay performance.
• Work with operational colleagues to understand how processes really work.
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for AI-enabled automation.
• Develop practical solutions using AI, Fabric, Power Platform and BC data.
• Create tools such as automated reconciliations and self-service reporting.
• Iterate with end users based on real operational feedback.
• Design future-state processes with controls, governance and auditability.
