Job summary

bet365 is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to improve system reliability, observability and performance across our critical platforms. You will treat reliability as a software problem, implement instrumentation with OpenTelemetry, and support incident resolution.

You will use Python, Golang and JavaScript, apply SRE practices such as SLIs/SLOs, and work in a hybrid UK-based setup, collaborating with multiple teams to reduce toil and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering skills with a focus on reliability and observability.
• Experience building and operating large-scale, 24/7 systems.
• Proficient in Python, Golang and JavaScript with practical IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Enhance reliability, observability and performance of critical systems.
• Develop instrumentation with OpenTelemetry and improve logging practices.
• Lead incident resolution and post-mortem analyses for continuous improvement.
• Automate toil via AI-assisted tooling and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Create dashboards using Grafana, Splunk and New Relic for visibility.
