Job summary

bet365 is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to elevate reliability, observability and performance using a software-centric approach. You will implement OpenTelemetry instrumentation, improve logging, and use AI-driven telemetry to reduce toil and automate operations.

The role requires strong Python, Golang and JavaScript skills, IaC experience with Ansible/Terraform, and expertise with Grafana, Splunk, New Relic and PagerDuty.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with focus on reliability and observability.
• Experience implementing SRE practices, SLIs/SLOs and incident response.
• Proficiency with modern software development lifecycles and DevOps.
• Experience in large-scale 24/7 enterprise environments with high uptime requirements.

Responsibilities

• Improve system reliability through instrumentation, logging and monitoring.
• Lead live incident resolution and post-mortems with actionable remediation.
• Develop dashboards and telemetry to monitor health and performance across services.
• Collaborate across teams to embed reliability and observability practices throughout the SDLC.
