Job summary

TP ICAP Group Services Ltd in London seeks a Software Engineering Team Lead to deliver high‑quality, scalable C++ services for Linux, Docker and AWS environments. You will act as a hands‑on contributor and people leader, embedding AI‑assisted engineering practices across the team to improve delivery speed while maintaining security and quality.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and partner with DevOps and architecture to ensure robust, maintainable systems.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on expertise in modern C++ (C++17 or later) including multithreading and performance
• Proven commercial experience developing native C++ apps on Linux
• Solid Linux development and debugging tools knowledge (GCC/Clang, GDB, CMake)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or comparable container orchestration
• Experience leading software teams and driving engineering standards

Responsibilities

• Own engineering delivery across full lifecycle from design to production support
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and ensure code quality and maintainability
• Lead architectural decisions, reviews, and risk identification
• Establish automated testing and release practices for reliable delivery
• Guide engineering improvements and reduce technical debt
• Collaborate with DevOps, Infra and Architecture teams and mentor engineers
