Job summary

Man Group’s Central Trading Internship offers hands-on exposure to execution, AI trading and quantitative research on a busy trading desk in London. You’ll work alongside traders and researchers on projects spanning equities, credit and macro instruments, bridging high-touch and AI-driven approaches.

Successful candidates are penultimate-year STEM students with strong numeracy, programming skills in Python and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical and analytical background.
• On-track to achieve at least a 2:1 degree in a STEM field.
• Interest in AI, machine learning and quantitative trading.

Responsibilities

• Work with traders on the Central Trading desk.
• Help develop AI and quantitative trading tools and workflows.
• Analyse market data to identify trading improvements.
• Understand market microstructure across asset classes.
• Collaborate with systematic and discretionary investment teams.
• Communicate research findings clearly.
