Job summary

You will develop the team, manage risks, work with cross‑functional teams, use AI tools to improve planning and reporting, and ensure enquiries, quotes and jobs progress efficiently to invoicing readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a maintenance, property-services or comparable operational team.
• Strong leadership, planning, coaching and performance-management skills.
• A clear understanding of sales, marketing, conversion, client retention, job costs and margins.
• Demonstrable workplace experience using ChatGPT and other AI tools responsibly and effectively.
• Confidence with operational data, spreadsheets, CRM and job-management systems.
• Clear communication, sound judgement and consistent follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Own operational delivery: coordinate enquiries, estimating, quote follow-up, authorisations, bookings, field delivery and completion records; set priorities; control backlogs and dependencies; escalate blockers.
• Plan and drive performance: translate goals into targets; maintain daily/weekly/monthly plans; share next-day planner; monitor results and lead recovery actions.
• Lead, coach and develop the team: run daily meetings, coaching, set expectations, address underperformance, ensure actions are completed and improvements sustained.
• Drive commercial results, sales and client growth: direct activity towards revenue, quotes, productivity and margin; understand sales process; convert enquiries into work; maintain client visit pipeline.
• Use AI and improve systems: use AI tools to improve planning, analysis, communication, reporting; identify automation opportunities; verify AI outputs and protect data.
• Report accurately and maintain standards: provide timely reports; keep objectives visible; follow timetables; escalate with facts and recommendations.
