Job summary

Bloomberg is seeking a dynamic Content Strategist to shape how news and expert content evolves for AI-assisted workflows within the Terminal. You will translate customer needs and market trends into clear strategies that guide sourcing, metadata and measurement, aligning with product priorities and client workflows.

Reporting into the Head of Content Strategy, you will develop frameworks for identifying expert voices, define governance for external content, and collaborate with newsroom,

Qualifications

• Experience in content strategy, news strategy, editorial strategy, product strategy or a related field.
• 5+ years in news, financial information, social media, product, research, strategy or fast-moving content environment.
• Strong understanding of how professional audiences use news, analysis and market information to make decisions.
• Strong interest in how AI is changing client discovery, consumption and action on news and information.
• Ability to turn complex content and product questions into clear strategic frameworks.
• Strong written communication skills for senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical judgment with comfort using quantitative data and qualitative evidence.
• Ability to work across editorial, product, data, technology and commercial teams.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous areas with discovery, synthesis and judgement.
• Strong organizational skills to move multiple strategic workstreams forward.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear, evidence-based content strategies for priority areas of Bloomberg's offering.
• Help prepare Bloomberg's content for agentic AI workflows, surfacing, contextualizing and aiding client action.
• Translate strategic questions into practical recommendations for content, product, personas, sourcing, metadata and measurement.
• Define content structure and metadata requirements for AI retrieval and interpretation.
• Develop frameworks for identifying, evaluating and sourcing influential expert voices.
• Define source selection criteria, credibility signals and governance for externally sourced content.
• Use audience insights and client feedback to identify content gaps and opportunities.
• Create concise strategy documents, recommendations and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
• Partner with newsroom, product, data, engineering, sales and other teams to implement strategies.
• Define success metrics for content strategies including client outcomes and business impact.
• Maintain cross-team alignment by simplifying complex issues into shared language and decisions.
