Job summary

Referment is building AI-driven software engineering at scale from London. The role lets you own features end to end across the full SDLC, from rough brief to production, in a polyglot stack (Ruby, Node, Go) on AWS with ECS/EKS and modern frontend frameworks.

You will apply AI tooling as a core part of design, review and QA, ensuring secure coding and compliant delivery under DORA, PCI DSS and GDPR. Hybrid work with London hub.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering across the full SDLC in a regulated environment.
• Proven ability to embed AI tooling into development workflows.
• Comfort with Ruby, Node or Go and modern frontend tech.
• Ability to operate in a large monolithic codebase with AI tooling.
• Strong documentation practices to guide AI assistants.
• Security-conscious coding and compliant delivery under regulations.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end across the full SDLC: design, build, test, deploy and support.
• Contribute across Ruby, Node and Go, with frontend work in modern frameworks.
• Use AI tooling as a core part of building, reviewing and QA.
• Refactor and document for AI guidance and reliability.
• Improve codebase documentation and structure for AI assistants.
• Translate product specs into precise engineering specs for AI delivery.
• Deliver within a regulated SDLC with auditing and approvals.
