Springer Nature is seeking a Sales Development Manager, Data Licensing to scale our AI-focused data licensing business. This fast-paced, commercially minded role blends business development, sales strategy, and market intelligence to accelerate licensing programs including Generative AI rights, Text & Data Mining, and ARC3 R&D solutions.

You will collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and corporate stakeholders to identify opportunities, build qualified pipelines, and create scalable

Qualifications

• Experience in sales development, business development, growth marketing, AI/data solutions, or related commercial role.
• Ability to conduct consultative discovery conversations and communicate value of data, AI, or research solutions.
• Knowledge of modern prospecting approaches, ABM, and qualification methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using customer insights and market intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Build inbound and outbound prospecting motions targeting AI-enabled R&D initiatives.
• Field inbound leads; conduct discovery conversations; define AI use cases and licensing needs.
• Pass viable leads to sales reps to support pipeline generation and account prioritization.
• Support conference prospecting, events, and strategic outreach campaigns.
• Maintain CRM records for lead follow-up and outreach for forecasting and visibility.
• Develop new approaches for scaling AI-focused BD activity across Europe and North America.
