Sanity is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager in London for its AI-powered Content Operations platform. You will lead a team of engineers, align with product and design, and own strategy, roadmap, and execution to scale the product and its impact.

You will work with senior leaders to balance technical excellence with rapid delivery, shaping workflows for content teams while grounding AI outputs in structured data.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of engineering management experience and 4+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong technical background in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern web technologies.
• Experience shipping user-facing products at scale.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in product direction.
• Working knowledge of prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and techniques for improving model reliability.
• Understanding of embedding models, vector search, and grounding AI outputs in structured data.

Responsibilities

• Help a team of engineers organize and prioritise work for highest impact.
• Balance technical excellence with shipping velocity in a fast-moving environment.
• Bring experience from a product/SaaS company to Sanity’s roadmap.
• Champion developer experience while building for non-technical content creators.
• Influence direction of Sanity and modern web development and content operations.
• Collaborate with Head of Engineering and leadership to scale processes and teamwork.
• Support growth and development of team members.
