Job summary

fonio.ai is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for the Italian market. You will translate customer requirements into robust deployments, including integrations, automations, and ongoing optimization, working with Product/Engineering and Go-to-Market to ensure fast, stable, repeatable deployments.

You will build workflows, implement API integrations, and develop features to map customer cases while delivering actionable feedback to improve the product.

Qualifications

• Solid coding skills and ability to implement independently.
• Strong understanding of AI systems, LLMs, prompting and tool-use.
• Ability to translate complex processes into robust, testable flows.
• Experience with APIs, webhooks, auth and integration patterns.
• Cloud deployments, observability and production debugging.

Responsibilities

• Capture customer requirements and translate into concrete implementation plans.
• Build and roll out fonio setups in production: workflows, logic, prompts, guardrails.
• Implement integrations with third-party systems (APIs, webhooks, CRM, calendars, ticketing).
• Develop smaller features and glue code to map customer cases.
• Debug under production conditions and provide fast fixes.
• Create reusable templates and deployment playbooks for scalability.
• Deliver product feedback with concrete prioritization.
