Job summary

Fonio, Europe’s leader for AI phone agents for SMBs, is expanding in the UK. As a Forward Deployed Engineer for the UK market, you translate customer requirements into robust implementations and take fonio live with integrations, automations, and optimization.

You’ll work with Product and Go-to-Market to ensure fast, stable deployments across the UK. This role blends hands-on coding with API work, edge-case debugging, and producing scalable deployment templates for repeatable success.

Qualifications

• Solid coding skills; can implement independently.
• Strong understanding of AI systems and LLMs (prompting, tool-use, RAG).
• Workflow thinking; map complex processes into robust flows.
• Experience with APIs, webhooks, auth, and integration patterns.
• Cloud deployments and observability in production.
• Native or near-native English.

Responsibilities

• Capture customer requirements and translate them into implementation plans.
• Build and roll out setups: workflows, logic, prompts, guardrails.
• Implement integrations with APIs, webhooks, CRM, calendars, ticketing.
• Develop features and glue code to map customer cases.
• Debug in production: calls, flows, edge cases, fast fixes.
• Create deployment playbooks for scalable setups.
• Provide product feedback with prioritized gaps.
