Job summary

The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a Digital & AI Trainer to lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of role-specific training focused on Microsoft 365, Copilot, generative AI and AI-enabled automation. This 18-month fixed-term post offers a flexible work style with a 37-hour week.

You will create resources and run online and face-to-face sessions, helping teams build confidence and capability while ensuring safe, compliant use across the council.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering training on Microsoft 365 and Copilot.
• Experience with generative AI and AI-enabled automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, coordination and delivery of AI and Copilot training across the council for different teams and roles.
• Provide guidance on Microsoft Copilot, generative AI and automated agents to improve productivity and service delivery.
• Develop and maintain high-quality learning resources (guides, e-learning modules, demo videos, case studies).
• Promote safe and responsible AI use in collaboration with Information Governance, data quality and cyber security teams.
• Identify skill gaps with managers and senior leaders and prioritise training that delivers real operational value.
• Collaborate with Copilot Champions to tailor support and measure training impact.
