Mongoose Gray is scaling rapidly and seeks an AI Operational Excellence Engineer to boost internal efficiency by building AI-powered systems, agents, and automations that remove friction across ops, support, finance, and GTM. This hybrid builder/strategist role blends engineering, process ownership, and internal consulting.

You'll audit workflows, design end-to-end solutions, own cycle time and cost per process, and partner with leads to translate ambiguous processes into reliable systems.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years in ops, automation engineering, or BizOps.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agents, or workflow tools.
• Strong SQL and scripting; can move between code and no-code.
• Proven track record shipping adopted solutions.
• Startup mindset: ambiguity and fast iteration.
• Process-thinking to identify bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Audit workflows to identify high-leverage automation opportunities.
• Design and deploy AI agents and automations to remove bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with leads to translate processes into scalable systems.
• Own operational metrics and drive measurable improvement.
• Evaluate AI tooling with speed and pragmatism.
