AHU Commissioning Engineer

Our client, a successful HVAC company with over 100 years of operation across 65 countries and ownership of three different manufacturers, is seeking an AHU Commissioning Engineer to support their expanding team across the UK, specifically around London. The role involves technical support, commissioning, and diagnostic work on HVAC systems, including AHUs and controls, across a variety of contracts such as banks, insurance companies, data centres, and gyms.

Responsibilities

1. Perform technical support, commissioning, and diagnostics on AHU and control systems.
2. Provide technical support to clients and colleagues.
3. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and coordinate with project teams.
4. Coordinate with project management and liaise with planners.
5. Maintain site cleanliness and manage critical spares lists.

Position Requirements

• Knowledge of HVAC/AHU equipment.
• Understanding of BACnet, Modbus, and HVAC control software.
• City and Guilds 2079 or NVQ 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to pass or hold a DBS and security clearance.

Remuneration

• Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 based on experience.
• 50-hour contract; 10 hours paid travel, 40 hours on-site.
• Additional travel outside contracted hours paid at 1.5x.
• Overtime: 1.5x Mon-Sat, 2x Sun/Bank Holidays.
• Company van (personal use to be discussed).
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays; option to purchase up to 5 additional days.
• Call-out: £150 standby, with overtime and travel pay.
