Agricultural Underwriter

Hybrid role

Barker Munro Recruitment is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Agricultural Underwriter to join a friendly, supportive team. This position offers a unique opportunity for candidates with a solid background in agricultural/farming combined underwriting to contribute to market-leading operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities for providing tailored insurance solutions to existing clients and brokers across the UK.
2. Independently review and analyse underwriting submissions to ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
3. Use your expertise to make informed decisions that benefit both the client and the organisation.
4. Operate within your delegated underwriting authority to effectively underwrite new business and renewals, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in agricultural/farming combined underwriting (property, liability, business interruption).
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive, self-starter with strong organisational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work half of the week in the office; multiple branches available in the UK for convenient commuting.
