T H WHITE is launching a new CNH aftersales workshop in Shrewsbury. We seek a Lead Technician, Workshop Supervisor or Service Manager to shape day-to-day operations, plan workloads, mentor technicians and implement high service standards.

You'll manage a small team, handle workshop and field service tasks, diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, and drive safety and efficiency in a brand-new facility. Excellent communication and customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise on Tractors or Combine Harvesters in an agricultural-focused business.
• Recognised apprenticeship or NVQ in land-based engineering.
• Strong diagnostics across engines, hydraulics and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Manage and delegate daily jobs/workflow to the small team of Technicians.
• Supervise work in progress and ensure accurate recording of jobs and invoicing.
• Handle depot administration and paperwork with a focus on customer communication and updates.
• Mentor team on best practices and expectations, fostering positive people management.
• Perform hands-on workshop and field service servicing, maintenance and repair of tractors, combines, harvesters, balers and telehandlers.
• Conduct advanced fault diagnostics across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain high safety standards and workshop efficiency.

Ready to take the helm of our new agricultural workshop?

If you’re a Senior Technician, Workshop Supervisor or experienced Service Manager looking for a change, this is a rare opportunity to shape our new CNH aftersales operation in Shrewsbury.

You’ll have the freedom to put your own stamp on this brand-new workshop – from how the operation runs day to day, to planning workloads and supporting your Technicians, to implementing processes, customer response times and overall service standards.

Hours:

42 hours a week, Mon- Thurs 08:00-17:30 Fri - 08:00-17:00

Occasional Saturday mornings in line with seasonal demand, worked flexibly as you see fit as part of your operational rota.

Key Duties will Include:

This is a new start-up workshop so we’re looking for a Lead Technician, Supervisor or Service Manager who would enjoy the variety and autonomy that this role brings. Responsibilities include:

• Management and delegation of daily jobs/workflow to the small team of Technicians.
• Supervising work in progress.
• Managing depot administration and paperwork, ensuring the accurate recording of jobs and invoicing of work.
• Customer communication and keeping customers updated with jobs.
• Proactive and positive people management skills with an ability to mentor the team on best practices & expectations.
• Hands-on workshop and field-based work servicing, maintaining, and repairing tractors, combines, forage harvesters, balers, and telehandlers.
• Conducting advanced fault diagnostics across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ensuring high standards of safety and workshop efficiency.

The Ideal Applicant:

• Proven technical expertise working on Tractors or Combine Harvesters within a similar Agri focused business.
• A recognised apprenticeship, C&G or NVQ in Land based engineering or a transferable qualification.
• Strong diagnostic ability across engines, hydraulic and electronic systems.
• A precise, methodical approach and pride in workmanship.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A customer-first attitude
